DESTINATIONS

Your touring motorcycle will be your close companion from start to finish. You'll travel together for hundreds of kilometres on every day of the tour. You may encounter rough terrain, roaming wildlife, mad truck drivers and any type of weather. The choice of motorcycle for each tour is incredibly important! We use the Royal Enfield Himalayan in the Indian Himalayas because it makes perfect sense there - it's comfortable, reliable, spare parts are easy to come by and while it's perfectly capable of tackling the terrain, it's lack of horsepower is not missed on the treacherous mountain roads. We would never consider using the Royal Enfield in the vast landscapes of South Africa and Namibia, just as we would never consider using the BMW GS in the jungles of Cambodia! Put simply - we use the right tool for the job, every time.
While picking the correct motorcycle for the tour is important, proper maintenance is of equal importance. All of our adventures are accompanied by a tour mechanic and a support vehicle carrying essential spares and tools. Every motorcycle goes through an extensive pre-tour check, as well as daily checks throughout the entire tour. All fleets are renewed frequently to ensure you're always riding a quality motorcycle.

Our motorcycle tours are not about getting somewhere quickly or cramming in as many destinations as possible into a two week trip. We're careful to select routes that enable us to experience the best riding, the best scenery, excellent accommodation and culture, while cutting out as many of the straight, boring, repetitive roads as possible. If this means that it takes us twice as long to get across a country, then that's just fine. We'd rather experience twice as much in half the distance, than half as much in twice the distance. Adventure is our goal, not distance.

Every tour is accompanied by a Ride Expeditions tour leader, trained as a wilderness first response medic. We also contract the services of a consulting doctor who can be contacted 24/7 during every one of our motorcycle tours.
All tours are accompanied by a local team, consisting of a guide, mechanic, support vehicle & driver. These guys are the real stars of the show! Without their local knowledge, hard work and passion for their home countries, our tours would not be so successful.
Back at base we have our friendly office team. From the moment you first contact us until you return home, they'll do everything in their power to ensure you're as informed and prepared as you can possibly be.

Quality & variety is our accommodation goal. Our tour destinations lend us the opportunity to select some truly outstanding and unique styles of accommodation that might often be overlooked / undiscovered by your average tourist. From floating river lodges, 'glamping' at it's finest, luxurious riverside resorts, private clifftop camping, private villas, converted caves or straw bungalows in the forest... we like to mix it up a bit & keep the surprises coming wherever possible.

Our tours are all inclusive with the exception of alcohol, the occasional evening meal and international flights & travel insurance. The idea being - you get yourself to the arrival airport and we take it from there. We arrange transport, accommodation, restaurants, bike maintenance, luggage... leaving you to enjoy the ride.
